our story
Citroën HY 1974
Once a post–World War II French workhorse, this rare Citroën HY journeyed from France to England before finally finding its home in Melbourne. Thoughtfully restored, its heritage design now sits in quiet harmony with the timeless landscape of the Royal Botanic Gardens — where history, nature, and design intersect.
By day, it blends into its surroundings with understated character. By night, it transforms — coming alive in a refined glow of light, sound, and movement. What was once built for utility now exists as something entirely different: a living piece of design, reimagined as a modern urban installation.
At Gate D along the Tan Track, the van has found its place — not just as a destination, but as part of the environment itself. A subtle presence that feels both unexpected and perfectly at home.
The Van
The Punk
Robbo-Scooper
Inside the van, the Gelati Punk takes the stage — a silent chrome-plated robo-scooper lit with LEDs, spinning gelati like hit tracks: bold, smooth and always on beat. Each scoop becomes a performance — flawless, striking and unforgettable.
