Found at weddings, corporate events, brand activations, festivals, private celebrations and cultural spaces across Melbourne, it delivers a curated multi-sensory experience designed to leave a lasting impression.

Each booking is tailored to suit the event’s size, audience, and energy — whether it’s an intimate gathering or a high-volume public activation — delivering a standout gelato experience every time.

We offer five gelati and ice cream van hire packages designed for different event sizes and service durations. You can view our packages here.
Each of our time based packages includes a pre-paid servings allowance and flavour selection, with flexible upgrade options, whilst our open trade mode package allows guests to purchase individually on the day, without you having to pre-pay for servings.
Any prices shown on our website are estimate prices only. After you enquire here we review your event details and provide a clear, upfront quote with no surprises.

Gelati Punk Van offers flexible booking options depending on your event style and guest experience.
You can choose from curated packages with a set number of pre-paid scoops, tailored to your event size, serving time, flavour selection, and overall setup.
Alternatively, our Open Trade Mode package allows Gelati Punk to operate as a live pop-up gelato bar — guests simply order and pay per scoop on the day, removing the need for prepaid quantities.
Custom packages are available for weddings, festivals, corporate activations, and large-scale events, reflecting the premium, immersive nature of the experience.

To receive a quote, simply submit an enquiry here. We’ll ask for your event date, location, guest numbers, and event type.
Once reviewed, you’ll receive a tailored quote outlining inclusions, service time, scoop allowances, and optional upgrades.

Yes. A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking.
The remaining balance is due on the day of your event.

We accept cash and bank transfer for bookings. On the van, we accept Apple Pay, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and EFTPOS.

Gelati Punk is Melbourne-based and typically services events within a 50km radius of the CBD.
For events outside this area, we are happy to consider requests on a case-by-case basis, subject to logistics and feasibility.
Flavours, Menu & Dietary Options

No. We focus exclusively on authentic Italian gelato and sorbet. This allows us to maintain exceptional quality, presentation, and service.

The van stocks up to eight flavours at any one time. This ensures efficient service while keeping flavours fresh and consistent. Private bookings can pre-select flavours from our wide catalogue range.

Absolutely! We’re happy to work with you to create a custom menu from our catalogue of 40+ gelati and sorbet flavours. Some flavours require advance notice and a minimum order. Please note, the van can carry up to eight flavours at a time.

Yes! The majority of our gelati are gluten-free. Any flavours containing gluten are clearly marked on the van’s self ordering system.

Yes! All our sorbets are dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan-friendly.

Our gelati and sorbet are stored in a traditional Italian Pozzetti cabinet, with gorgeous chrome carapine domed lids. This provides superior temperature control and protects the gelato from air, light, and contamination.

The Gelati Punk van runs on a quiet lithium battery system. It can operate for up to 10 hours without mains power or generators. This makes it ideal for indoor venues, outdoor events, and noise-sensitive locations.

From the moment you approach the van, the lights, the sound, and the movement draw you in – long before the first taste. It feels less like ordering dessert and more like stepping into a moment.
Guests select their flavours via our self-serve digital kiosk as curated electronic music and ambient lighting transform the van’s interior into something electric. The Robo Scooper receives the request and prepares it in deliberate silence — focused, controlled, and entirely in character.
Framed by the Citroën HY’s corrugated bodywork, the service window reveals chrome pozzetti lids lifting and closing with precision as your gelati is prepared — building anticipation before the first spoonful hits your taste-buds.

At each event, the Robo Scooper moves to a curated blend of atmospheric binaural beats and euphoric electronic music, creating a subtle rhythm that becomes part of the experience. The soundscape is designed to complement the lighting, movement and service, turning each scoop into part of a flowing multi-sensory moment.

When arriving or moving between locations, the Gelati Punk van sounds like a classic vintage French van — a gentle, nostalgic engine note as it idles and drives.
During service, the engine is switched off and the van operates entirely on its lithium battery system, meaning there is no generator noise or fumes. This makes it ideal for indoor venues, outdoor events, and noise-sensitive locations.

Absolutely. The Gelati Punk Van is fully covered with public liability insurance up to $20 million.

Yes. We hold a Melbourne City Council Mobile Food Business Licence. This licence allows us to operate across all councils throughout Melbourne.

We usually operate on private property with the owner’s consent. Roadside service may be possible depending on location, safety, and council regulations.
